Your First Visits
Thank you beautiful soul for considering coming here. My main goal is for you to feel safe and allow you to feel nurtured, empowered and heard.
The first appointment is about getting to know each other. I really want you to feel that you have the time to tell your story, if you want. Very often is our story multi-layered, long and complex and I believe it is important to honor our story. We often spend 1 hour talking about the things you want me to know. I never expect you to talk about events. Instead we might focus on the emotions you might carry. We then spend 30 min or so on grounding your nervous system, to give you a sense of calm and nurture.
I put a strong emphasis on education and resourcing. At the start of your journey with me, we may map your nervous system, identify your fight and flight response, look at calming elements (earth, air, fire and water) and senses. We will explore your safe space, nurturing, protective and wise figures and tap them into your nervous system.
We might do somatic exercises such as body scans, breath work or stretches to reconnect to the body. Or we focus on expressing our emotions through art. Often we work on a massage table, sometimes we do not.
When you embark on your journey with me, I want you to feel fully supported. You will receive online communication in between appointments and resources to practice on your own.
